Funambulists

FUNAMBULISTS is a 1- to 2-player rhythm game where you get to show off your tightrope-breakdancing skills to some funky beats. Play side-by-side with a friend, or take on each of the 3 progressively harder maps by yourself!

Made in one week for the 2024 New Year, New Skills Game Jam hosted by Bitter Sails Games.

Make sure you are not playing with Bluetooth audio! (The note timing will be off.)

Gale plays with WASD

Gaia plays with ARROW KEYS

Gaia and Gale are experts at their craft of FUNambulism: the performance of tightrope dance routines while suspended high above the city. Today, they've got a tough crowd to impress.

To play:

- Hit the notes to the beat! Both characters play at the same time.

- Each note has an arrow indicating the direction you need to press. (The arrows get bigger during the timing window and disappear if you hit the note correctly.)

- Build up TENSION by combo-ing notes! Hitting on an off-beat or missing a note will subtract from your TENSION and your score.

- Each time your your tension reachs 100%, you’ll trigger a BOOST. For a short while, you’ll get extra points!

- Gaia and Gale are scored together, so do your best as a team! (You’ll still get to see individual stats at the end of a song.)

- Try to get a full combo—FUNAMBULOUS!

- Pause any song with the ESC key.
